Example ONE: Lighting
Another thing that really steals the show in this clip, no pun intended, is the lighting used. The lighting used in this clip is intense, and for very good reason. It really feels like a proper stage show when watching. The constant strobe lighting and the movement of the lights makes it feel as if you are really watching a stage show, further enhancing the viewership to the audience. It creates an uneasy feel where you never know what will happen next, further bringing that sense of the unknown. The lighting used in this clip really helps to sell the show and enhance the dancing. Within this clip, they have gone the full route of using practical lighting to further enhance that stage show feel. At 0:16 - 0:20, the lights that are moving around the stage have a gel on them which is used to create a design to the light. This builds depth to the scene and showcases that grim feel to the place by not having a full bright light, but only using sections of it. This further builds dynamic to the piece and allows for a show feel where the extras you are surrounding the stage can be seen as audience members and not other dancers, continuing to build that relationship between you as the viewer and the characters on screen.

Example two: Narrative Structure
This is a film with many twists and turns, with two of the main characters finding out that one of their colleagues is a double crosser. This film has clear themes of corruption which are highlighted through the plot twists, very similarly to my film idea. The main character, Exley, struggles with the internal conflict of trying to stay by the book, but in the end he has to go against the book to do what is really right. There is also a 'femme-fatale' mixed into the story. A 'femme-fatale' is a seductive woman who lures men into dangerous or compromising situations.
Act One
-We are introduced to detective Ed Exley, who's legendary detective father was mysteriously murdered. -Volatile officer Wendell White uses violence to interrogate and intimidate suspects, particularly women-abusers -Inciting incident: White's partner Stensland is murdered Act Two -The detectives find suspects of the murder and arrest them -White's romance with the femme fatale builds -White and Exley both believe the case is unsolved -The two of them work together to find out their chief, Dudley, was involved in the murder Act Three -Climax: They go on a hunt for Dudley, and eventually confront him in a motel gun fight. -Outro: Exley is commended for his work |

THE NARRATIVE STRUCTURE OF MY FILM
After research my 3 act structure will be BECAUSE
Example Three: Interview style
Lots of people watch documentaries for presenters such as David Attenborough or Stacy Dooley who are two very well known faces and presenters. The main reason they are liked and so popular is because of the style they present for example if you sit in front of a screen and just speak the documentary is going to be less varied and so the audience will seem less interested because they aren't curious in what you have to say whereas if you are walking to interreacting with people throughout the documentary the audience will be more encouraged to watch as this shows more variety and passion making it more of an enjoyment to watch the documentary. Throughout my documentary I want to be involved with my interviewees on camera and presenting throughout, this may be during the interviews or simply a walk and talk explaining what's going to happen
