The BIG IDEA
IDEAS AND CONTEXT
Idea generation and experimentation are KEY to your final project.
The whole basis of your FMP is to EXPLORE different ideas and before you embark on your final piece
DO NOT Stick to ONE idea
In order to gain the DISTINCTION they want to see how you have EXPERIMENTED and DEVELOPED the plot as you have gone along
FOCUS GROUPS are key to gaining and distinction. If you don't want to do it with class members then do it with family; friends; your teachers; your tutor; strangers! Talk to the year 2 students for a different view.
BUT YOU NEED TO SHOW HOW YOU HAVE DEVELOPED YOUR IDEA. THIS IDEA MAY CHANGE AS YOU MOVE ALONG IN YOUR RESEARCH AS WELL
Maybe start with a word; a location; a situation; a poem or a song;

Over the Easter break
Over the break, you must come up with at least 3 different viable ideas for your final major project. The ideas should be detailed enough that you can discuss them with others and get feedback on them in your first lesson back.
These ideas should be mind-mapped and uploaded at the top of your LO1 page on your new site ready for focus groups and development when you return.

Evidence of this STAGE
- WRITTEN Journal of ALL ideas
- Mind maps (multiple)
- Focus groups (MULTIPLE) Uploaded and analysed
- LINKS BETWEEN HOW YOUR IDEAS ARE DEVELOPING
- ROUGH outline of your final idea (not detailed as you WILL develop it when you research)
